NHGRI’s Oral History Collection: Interview with Current and Forme …

In 2014 and 2015, the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) recorded a panel conversation with previous directors James Watson, Ph.D. and Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D., and present director Eric Green, M.D., Ph.D. This indispensable video footage stimulates the roots and development of NHGRI, in addition to the Human Genome Project, from the viewpoints of 3 essential figures. Part I of this video footage includes all 3 directors going over the early days of the institute, from the consultations of Drs. Watson and Collins, to the Human Genome Project. NHGRI’s Oral History Collection includes conversations with prominent figures in the field of genomics and about the history of institute. Meant for scholars and scientists, each narrative history includes info about science and medication, biographical information and insights into the inner functions of the organization and its efforts.
